Juventus manager Max Allegri does not believe they will qualify for the Champions League and remains focused on winning one game at a time.
After losing 15 league points, Juve need some magic to get closer to the Champions League positions, but mathematically it is not impossible yet.
The bianconeri have been in good form in recent games and are getting their injured players back, so you can be sure that they could be in the top four.
However, Allegri wants to avoid thinking about that and believes that the best approach is to win one game at a time. The coach said via Football Italia:
“The Champions League race is impossible. At the moment the team has 50 points, on the field we are doing it. Of those ahead, one from Inter, Milan, Lazio and Roma will be left out.
“There is also Atalanta that can re-enter, there are 42 points at stake and everything is yet to be played. We have to take one step at a time, we cannot look at them because they are far away”.
Juve FC says
Allegri knows that this is not the time to do point calculations, but that we must talk on the field more than ever.
The bianconeri have done well in recent weeks and we have to keep winning our games as they come.
Winning against Roma will boost our confidence even more and it’s a result we can achieve if everyone is at their best.
