Alejandro Garnacho’s incredible rate of goal contributions – Man United News And Transfer News

2

Alejandro Garnacho has enjoyed a great season with Manchester United this term and his goal contribution rate shows why the fans are so excited.

@centredevils recently posted a tweet highlighting how many goals the Argentinian has been directly involved in, saying:

“Alejandro Garnacho (18) is currently averaging a goal contribution every 110 minutes, with 5 goals and 6 assists in all competitions…

“For context, an 18-year-old Lionel Messi averaged a goal contribution every 108 minutes.”

Of course, it’s unfair to compare Garnacho to Lionel Messi, but the stat certainly puts the United star’s achievements this season into perspective.

Considering how many of the wingers’ goals have come at decisive moments, that only makes it all the more impressive.

His goal against West Ham put United 2-1 ahead and turned the tide, while he also scored in the win against Real Sociedad and Fulham.

He even finished off Leeds United at Elland Road with a goal from the bench.

Garnacho isn’t racking up stats in matches his team dominates – he’s making a genuine impact and winning Manchester United games.

It’s easy to see why fans are so excited about the youngster’s development this season.

A direct and fast winger has always been a favorite profile at Old Trafford and Garnacho certainly fits that description.

There are elements of ingenuity to his gameplay, but in many ways, that’s exactly what makes him such an exciting player.
