Manchester United’s wunderkind Alejandro Garnacho’s season continues to improve as he has earned a call-up for the Argentine National Team.

The 18-year-old will be included in the 30-man squad to play La Albiceleste’s March matches.

These include friendlies against Panama and Curacao, which will give head coach Lionel Scaloni the chance to get a closer look at some players who might not have excelled at the World Cup.

Argentina are, of course, world champions after lifting the prestigious trophy in Qatar and are now looking ahead to their next tournament, the Copa América, which will take place in 2024.

However, Scaloni is clearly looking beyond even that, with the inclusion of several talented young players suggesting that Argentina is already looking ahead to the next World Cup.

Along with Garnacho, Manchester City midfielder Máximo Perrone and Inter Milan attacker Valentín Carboni, aged 19 and 17 respectively, have been called up.

They will link up with veteran world champions like Paulo Dybala, Angel di Maria and of course Lionel Messi. You can see the full list of players below:

For Garnacho, it will surely be an exciting experience.

He has already been summoned before by La Albiceleste, but he only trained. He did it while Cristiano Ronaldo was still at Manchester United, making Garnacho one of the few players on the planet to train with Messi and Ronaldo in the same season.

This time it seems that there is a good chance that it will get an international cap.

Scaloni is bound to test some of the players Argentina are considering for their future, and Garnacho is certainly among them.

His goal contribution rate has been incredible this season, as has his ability to perform in decisive moments.
