Alan Shearer not happy with Leeds striker despite Liverpool win

BBC pundit Alan Shearer criticized Patrick Bamford for his poor touch in the second half against Liverpool at Anfield.

The 29-year-old was unable to control the ball after a fine pass from Summerville that could have put Leeds ahead, but luckily for him, the Yorkshire club managed to clinch all three points after a late goal from Summerville.

“He needs a better touch there, it’s terrible touch from Bamford. That should be difficult and an effort away from the goal. All they needed was a better touch, and they’re in again,” Shearer told Match of the Day.

Bamford have been struggling with their form this season after spending most of last season sidelined with injuries. The England international is still playing catch-up and is surely one of the most important players for Jesse Marsch.
