Adrien Rabiot refuses to rule out summer move to Manchester United in latest comments – Man United News And Transfer News

Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has refused to rule out a move to the Premier League next summer.

The Frenchman came very close to signing for Manchester United last summer before the move broke down at the last hurdle.

United had agreed a fee with Juventus, and John Murtough even traveled to Turin to seal a deal.

However, high salary demands from the player’s mother and agent, Veronique Rabiot, caused United to pull out of negotiations at the last moment.

Rabiot’s mother wanted her son to instantly become one of the club’s top earners.

The Red Devils turned their attention to former Real Madrid player Casemiro and the rest is history.

Speaking ahead of France’s clash with England in the World Cup quarter-final, Rabiot reiterated his love for the Premier League after United’s failed trade.

He said: “I don’t have a Premier League team in mind at the moment.”

“I have not made a choice. It’s the overall appeal of the Premier League and the level of play that appeals to me the most.”

“It’s[the Premier League] it fits my qualities.

With these comments, it is very likely that the 27-year-old has opened the doors to several clubs that come for him.

The player will be a free agent at the end of the season and his contract with Juventus will expire in July.

Despite an extensive rap sheet, Rabiot is a seasoned player who has racked up over 400 professional games and won multiple trophies throughout his time at both Juventus and Paris St-Germain – 22 trophies to be specific.

It remains to be seen if United and Ten Hag revive their interest in the midfielder. What is certain is that he has not closed the door on trying again to reach Old Trafford.
