AC Milan joins the race for long-term Juventus target Zaniolo

Juventus have a long-standing interest in Nicolo Zaniolo but have been unable to add him to their squad since the interest arose.

Fans thought he might join them in the summer when Paulo Dybala left the club as a free agent, but Juve signed Angel di Maria instead.

Reports continue to link him with a move to Juve and he hasn’t signed a new contract at AS Roma, suggesting he might be charged for the right price.

However, a report on Tuttojuve reveals that AC Milan have now joined the race for his signature and will add him to their squad if they lose Rafa Leao.

Juve FC says

Zaniolo is one of the most technically gifted players in Serie A and it will benefit us to have him in our team, but he has to adapt to our style before we change him.

Max Allegri is an experienced coach who knows the players who will execute his system to perfection.

If Zaniolo isn’t one of them, there’s no need to add the attacker to our pool just because he’s available for transfer.

Rome’s reluctance to tie him to a new deal should also give us a reason to reconsider our move for him.
