“A psychological condition” – Allegri tries to diagnose Juve’s issues -Juvefc.com

On Saturday, Juventus left the pitch empty-handed after a poor performance against Milan. The Bianconeri had a few chances early on, but they inexplicably faded as the match wore on.

Despite the controversial opener, the Rossoneri certainly deserved to come away with all three points after dominating most of the action and producing a superior level of football.

Fikayo Tomori put the Rossoneri ahead just before the break, and Brahim Diaz made it 2-0 after the break with a brilliant run that left the Juventus defense behind.

After the match, Max Allegri had to face the music and tried to explain his team’s problems to the press.

The under fired tactician believes his team had the wrong approach after the first 20 minutes as his players started to play the ball backwards.

The Livorno native also feels that the problems on his side could be psychological in nature.

“After tonight’s match, there is little to say, we are going through an inconsistent period,” Allegri said in his post-match interview with DAZN via Calciomercato.

“We thought we had come out of the negative period, but tonight we went back. The first 20 minutes went well, then we started playing the other way around and we didn’t create chances anymore.

“We did a lot of things wrong at a technical level, so it’s normal that we pay for it.

“I think there was also a psychological condition, now it’s not easy at the moment, because you get two good results, then you get a bad one.

“We lost a lot of points against smaller clubs. It is normal that when you play the big matches you have to arrive in good psychological condition.

“The team also had a good first half, unfortunately they capitulated. But already in the first half we were making technical mistakes. We gave Leao an open field.

“On Tuesday, we must go play Maccabi Haifa with mental strength and win the game.”
