Beterbiev (19-0, 19 KOs), who resides in Montreal, is the only current world boxing champion with a 100 percent knockout ratio. He has made seven title defenses since he captured the IBF belt in November 2017.
Smith (29-1, 21 KOs), from Liverpool, England, and a WBC mandatory challenger, has won two fights by knockout since losing a decision in a 2020 title unification fight against Canelo Alvarez.
