Anthony Yarde (light heavyweight contender)
I think Beterbiev will eventually figure out Smith and his calculated pressure will corner him and land the shots he needs. He said that the fight we had was the toughest of his career and that at 38 years old we don’t know what Beterbiev will be like next. Smith is a dangerous fighter, a great left hook. If Smith can steady his feet and land the left hook, it could be a very interesting fight.
Billy Nelson (coach)
Callum Smith will outspeed him and stop him. I think Beterbiev is deteriorating and Callum Smith has grown strongly in her new weight class. I think he might have three or four opening rounds that will be tough, but his youth and his added power at light heavyweight will be a deciding factor.
Cyrus Pattinson (welterweight contender)
I really hope Smith does it. I’m going to back Smith at his new weight. I think he was a little worn out at super middleweight. It’s going to be Beterbiev’s toughest fight yet, so I’m going after Smith on points. Beterbiev has taken a lot of shots in his career and Smith will take advantage of a lot of that. But it will be a tough fight because Beterbiev is a nasty animal.
Duke McKenzie (three-weight world belt)
Beterbiev is going to win. I think Smith is a little worn down from the shooting and hasn’t been active enough. Beterbiev is a tremendous puncher and a patient predator. He hurts you; he stuns you; He hits you and knocks you out. Smith is not going to beat him. All of that will be over in 10 rounds.
