Former Italian defender Gianluca Zambrotta shared his opinion on the Serie A title race between Inter Milan and Juventus, emphasizing that having Max Allegri as coach is an advantage but does not guarantee success.
Allegri achieved notable success during his first spell at Juventus, winning five consecutive league titles. Despite being one of the club’s most successful coaches, his return in the summer of 2021 left him with no trophies and the team faced challenges.
As Juventus look to end their trophy drought in the current campaign and compete with Inter Milan for the Scudetto, Zambrotta recognizes that while Allegri brings experience, it is an asset rather than a guaranteed path to success.
He said, quoted by Tuttomercatoweb:
“Having a coach used to succeeding is an added value and helps. But that is no guarantee of success: I have won and lost championships even with expert coaches and players.”
Juve FC says
Allegri is our main advantage because he knows how to win the league, but we need our players to be in top shape before we can win the league and other trophies.
