Al Ettifaq is not doing as well as he should under Steven Gerrard, and the former Rangers and Aston Villa manager intends to raid Chelsea for his next signing.
The Saudi Pro League team is currently in eighth place in the division and 28 points behind leaders Al-Hilal after just 19 matches.
This is largely due to the fact that Gerrard has failed to motivate his team to win a single game since October.

The 3-2 victory against Al-Wehda on October 28 only came thanks to a goal also from Demarai Gray in the 98th minute.
Gerrard not only has problems on the field, as Jordan Henderson, a star summer signing for his former Liverpool colleague, already wants to return to Europe, according to the Daily Mail and other media.
It’s no surprise then that Gerrard is eyeing Chelsea’s Malang Sarr, according to football.london, a player who WhoScored points out has not even played a single minute for the Blues this season despite being available.
It is unclear at this stage whether Sarr would be willing to accept the move, however, it would say a lot about his motivation and desire if he prefers to stay and not feature under Mauricio Pochettino.
