Rasmus Hojlund gives his shirt to a young fan after Manchester United’s FA Cup win against Wigan Athletic – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup after beating League One side Wigan Athletic on Monday.

Goals from Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes were enough to seal a 2-0 victory and United could have scored much more had it not been for extreme waste.

Rasmus Hojlund came close on numerous occasions and was unlucky not to add to his tally for the season.

According to manutd.com, the forward showed his class after the game, with a kind gesture towards a loving fan in the visiting field.

Hojlund headed straight for a fan holding a Danish-inspired sign and asked the striker for his shirt.

The striker was more than happy to brighten the young fan’s day and the lucky man’s father was delighted for his son, who now has his own part of United history.

“It certainly made my boy’s night. He has gone to bed like a happy Red. I am sure it will be a match that he will remember for the rest of his life,” said the young fan’s father.

Hojlund once again worked hard for the cause as United overcame a potential banana skin in the first round of the competition.

After seeing an early chance saved by the home goalkeeper, the 20-year-old’s thunderous header hit the crossbar from close range after meeting a fine cross from Alejandro Garnacho.

Hojlund then couldn’t get his feet together quickly enough as he reacted to a Marcus Rashford strike that was parried away by Sam Tickle, completing a trio of missed chances.

However, the striker continues to occupy the right positions and it is clear that his teammates are becoming more and more accustomed to his way of acting.

Hojlund will no doubt feature in United’s next and only league game in January with the visit of top four rivals Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford next Sunday.
