Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Championship side Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday night and the west London club’s traveling fans were not happy with their players after the final whistle.
Hayden Hackney scored the only goal of the game in the first half and Chelsea wasted many chances to take the result to Stamford Bridge.
This is yet another poor result in what has been a terrible season for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and one that the club’s fans were visibly unhappy with.
After the game, several players approached the visiting field to apologize and calm things down while cameras captured heated moments.
The Premier League club will need to turn things around in the second leg if they are to reach the EFL Cup final, but the way things are going at Chelsea, it wouldn’t be a surprise if it were Middlesbrough who head to Wembley .
