The Gunners are reportedly interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong as a possible January target.
After spending Christmas at the top of the Premier League, the mood surrounding Arsenal changed relatively quickly as they would lose their next two Premier League games.
Currently sitting in fourth position, fans will be hoping to see some new signings join in this month to secure the team.
Although many would prefer the arrival of a striker, due to a lack of options and alleged lack of funds, a major deal may have to wait until the summer.
But the club are rumored to be looking at other areas and a potential new full-back is said to be high on the list.
According to German outlet BILD, the Gunners are pursuing the signature of right-back Frimpong, who has been exceptional for Leverkusen over recent seasons.
Reports from TeamTalk claim that the 23-year-old has a £34million release clause in his contract which activates in the summer.
Although Mikel Arteta signed Jurrien Timber last year to help solve that problem, the Dutch defender tore his ACL in his first game, ruling him out for the entire season.
Frimpong would offer a much more attacking option at full-back who possesses qualities that both Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu lack.
