In Manchester United’s latest injury update, manager Erik ten Hag confirmed that Sergio Reguilon could return for the Red Devils in their next game against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League group stage.
Sergio Reguilón joined Manchester United in the 2023 summer transfer window, on a season-long loan deal with Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur. However, Reguilón has appeared in just three games so far for Manchester United in the current campaign.
The 26-year-old Spanish left-back has missed five games for Manchester United due to injury and illness. However, he is back in training and Erik ten Hag reveals that the player could be in the running to face FC Copenhagen.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag fielded Victor Lindelof at left-back against Sheffield United in their most recent match. This was in the absence of Luka Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Sergio Reguilon.

Providing an update on Manchester United’s injuries at a press conference on Monday, Erik ten Hag confirmed that Sergio Reguilón is back in training. The Manchester United manager also revealed that Reguilón missed the match against Sheffield United due to illness.
“Yes, we hope so. I also said it last Friday, Sergio, he got sick for Saturday but he was fit, he trained all last week,” said Erik ten Hag when asked if any Manchester United players could return in time for their next match.
“Yesterday he was, in part, training again, today he will train and we have to evaluate if he is ready and fit if he can participate in the team. We have to wait for that. We have to see if he is fit to be part of tomorrow’s team.”
