“I am sorry for Paredes,” Allegri sends clear message to PSG loanee

Leandro Paredes would feel ashamed after spending the entire Juventus match against Torino on the bench yesterday while Enzo Barrenechea made his club debut.

The one on loan from PSG did not meet expectations at the Allianz Stadium and Max Allegri wants to field only players he trusts.

The Argentinian was expected to play Il Toro as Manuel Locatelli missed the game, but Allegri opted to give the young Next Gen a chance.

After the match, the coach insists that he chooses his team based on their merits. He tells journalists via Football Italia:

“I feel sorry for Paredes, but I make the decisions for the good of the team. Everyone involved must be ready to help their peers. The pitch speaks”

Juve FC says

Paredes has simply been terrible and there is no place for a player who cannot contribute well to our team.

The World Cup winner knows he must do better and unless that happens, he will continue to spend time on the Allianz Stadium bench.

Barrenechea deserves some praise for earning the spot and doing well in the game. She will become the last Next Gen player to earn a spot on our first team.
