Inter Milan keen on signing Loris Karius

Inter Milan are said to be preparing a move for Newcastle goalkeeper Lorius Karius as the German works to revive his career.

This rumor comes from FC Inter News, who say that Inter want the former Liverpool goalkeeper on a free transfer.

Karius’s first Newcastle appearance came in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester United as the Magpies lost 2-0, but Karius performed well despite not having played a minute of football before the game.

The 29-year-old was given the chance to start for the Toon in the club’s biggest game in 24 years with Nick Pope suspended and Martin Dubravka cup-tied.

Given that Karius is Eddie Howe’s third goalkeeper, one would think the German feels he deserves a more regular position at another club, having been Liverpool’s first choice prior to Alisson’s arrival at the club and also Besiktas between 2018 and 2020.

Karius played 67 games with Besiktas

With the reinforcement of Andre Onana in Samir Handanovic turning 39 in July, Karius would not be a bad alternative to the Slovenian who has been at the service of Inter for 11 years, with whom he has played 448 games.
