Where would Juventus be if Di Maria has been in top form all season?

Former Fiorentina player Massimo Orlando was delighted by Angel di Maria’s recent return to form and wonders where Juventus would be if they had been as good all season.

The Argentine has returned from the World Cup a different player and last night scored a hat-trick to eliminate Nantes from the Europa League.

That performance showed why he is so highly regarded in the world of soccer and reminds us of the World Cup final, where he dazzled against France.

Speaking about the former PSG player, Orlando said via Tuttomercatoweb:

“99% of footballers are unable to do that goal.

“He put the ball where the goalkeeper couldn’t reach it. I wonder if Juve had him at most from the beginning of the season where he would be today.

Juve FC says

Di María is an incredible player and consummate professional whose presence on our team has made us a stronger team.

We expect a lot from the attacker in the remaining games of the season and hopefully he will sign a new contract to spend next season at the Allianz Stadium as well.

Our other players also need to be in top form because we are at a crucial stage of the season and complacency is not allowed.
