Club want to sign Dutch midfielder in summer

Liverpool are said to be very interested in bringing Ryan Gravenberch to Anfield, as well as Jude Bellingham in the summer in a Bundesliga foray.

This is according to Sport1’s Kerry Hau, who says Gravenberch may welcome a move to the Reds after struggling to adjust to life at Bayern Munich.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined the German giants from Ajax last summer after shining in the Eredivisie but has failed to establish himself at the Allianz, playing 90 minutes just twice for the club in 22 appearances and scoring just one goal.

Liverpool are now sniffing, and the Reds require a midfield revamp this summer as the current crop continue to underperform this season.

Their search for the Dutch midfielder may be tricky though, with Hau saying Bayern aren’t too interested in giving him up.

“Liverpool are interested, but Bayern’s attitude is clear: they don’t want to give it up. However, one would think that Gravenberch would certainly put some thought into the move.”

The Anfield club aren’t just aiming for Gravenberch though, with the highly sought after Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund – another name Liverpool are desperate to follow according to Sport1 – but they will of course have to deal with considerable interest from elsewhere. . It’s not very often that you see a player desperate for playing time at his club, but with Bayern’s stance of leaving Gravenberch with a firm ‘no’, we could be in for a very interesting saga this summer.
