Klopp says he can ‘take a lot from the game’ despite loss to Real Madrid

Liverpool fans won’t be rushing to revisit the highlights of our performance against Real Madrid, but Jurgen Klopp has been adamant that there are positives to be taken from the match.

Speaking to CBS Sport, the 55-year-old said: “Yeah, 5-2 doesn’t feel great, but like I said, I take a lot out of the game anyway. Not much of the second part but a lot of the first.

The start of the game was possibly the strongest we’ve had this season and the atmosphere coincided with the intensity on the pitch, which is something we’ll want to see again.

However, our problems in the second half clearly outweighed the positive start and mean we have a near impossible task at the Bernabéu in a few weeks’ time.
