Arsecast Extra Episode 513 – 20.02.2023

Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with me and James from @gunnerblog.

In this episode we look back on the extraordinary 4-2 win over Aston Villa on Saturday. We’re talking about a below-average first half, the goals we conceded and Bukayo Saka’s brilliant draw. There is some speculation as to what could have been said at halftime to spark a much better second half, collectively and from certain individuals. The focus then turns to a remarkable final 20 minutes, chattering about Martin Odegaard’s miss, chances at both ends, before an incredible flourish in the 6th minute of stoppage time. Former Arsenal goalkeeper Emi Martinez provided much of that extra time and paid the price with a superb header from Jorginho’s own goal, before Gabriel Martinelli sealed the deal. We try all the fun stuff, the celebrations, the recriminations, as well as answer listener questions about protecting Saka, substitutes, Eddie Nketiah, Kieran Tierney, the team developing a lead, and SO MUCH more.
