Darwin Nunez showed Liverpool fans some love after scoring the Reds’ first goal against Newcastle United last night.
Jurgen Klopp’s side finally claimed their first league win of 2023 yesterday as Newcastle lost their first league game since August when they were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool.
However, yesterday’s game was a great moment for Núñez, who found the back of the net for the first time since November 12 and had a special moment with Reds fans who were heard chanting his name.

After embracing his teammates, the Uruguayan faced the crowd and pointed to the sky, before turning and raising his fist, no doubt relieved to score his first goal in three months.

Hopefully this goal can reignite Núñez’s goalscoring form so he can show why Liverpool paid so much to tempt him away from Benfica last summer.
