Premier League title race heats up as Man City overtake Arsenal to sit atop table

Manchester City oversaw a triumphant 3-1 win at the Emirates tonight to edge past Arsenal and take top spot in the Premier League table.

Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring with a scandalous shot after capitalizing on a Takehiro Tomiyasu mistake.

Ederson then fouled Eddie Nketiah, prompting the referee to award an Arsenal penalty, which Bukayo Saka quickly converted in the 42nd minute.

Pep Guardiola’s team then upped the ante in the second half; Jack Grealish put City ahead on 72 minutes, sending the away fans into a frenzy.

10 minutes later, the inevitable Erling Haaland added to his already outstanding goal tally to extend the Blues’ lead to 3-1 after scoring his 26th league goal of the season.
