Further trouble for Agnelli as Juventus shareholders demand indemnity

Despite stepping down from his position as club president, Andrea Agnelli remains the poster child for all trials and investigations involving Juve’s alleged illegal acts in recent years.

The ex-boss already received a temporary ban from the sport in the recent capital gains trial and could face more trouble in connection with the Prisma investigation (based on wage maneuvering between 2020 and 2021).

According to Tuttosport via Calciomercato, 14 Juventus shareholders have launched a class action against Agnelli.

This relatively small group has asked to join Prisma’s trial as an aggrieved party, seeking compensation from the former Juventus president.

The source understands that this group includes a financier, a businessman, a couple of students and retirees. However, many others could join in the near future.

Juve FC says

Unfortunately for Agnelli, the problems don’t come alone. So if the former chairman is convicted, he too could have to remunerate shareholders if they were successful in their legal action.

After all, we must remember that the alleged intrigues of the previous administration began by hiding balance sheet documents presented to shareholders. Therefore, it is easy to see the legal rationale behind the investors’ case.
