MLS returns at the end of February, with the league and Apple offering free games for the first part of the season. In fact, MLS plans to offer several free games during the campaign.
The best opportunity to watch MLS games for free is the first week of the season. All games for the weekend of February 25-26 are free on Apple TV. That’s a move to give fans a glimpse of what MLS Season Pass has to offer. Also, it can be a test for moderate fans who may not be as die-hard as other MLS supporters.
However, for at least the first three weeks of the season, there are six free games on Apple TV each matchday.
For now, that free calendar only extends until the fourth day, which ends on March 19. Rather than MLS focusing on just a handful of the most “popular” teams in MLS, almost every team appears in the three weeks after opening day for free. on AppleTV. The only two that don’t are New England and Orlando.
Something else to recognize is that every game on FOX is also available for free on Apple TV. FOX is the sole television home for Major League Soccer this season, with ESPN and Univision pulling out.
