Juventus fans cancelling their TV subscription has not had the desired effect

One way Juventus fans protested their teams’ 15-point deductions was to cancel their DAZN subscription in an effort to show how much power they have.

The Bianconeri are the biggest club in Italian soccer and also have some of the richest fans in the country.

This means that their followers probably have more financial power than most and can afford more subscriptions to services like DAZN.

You’ll think that if too many of them unsubscribe, Serie A’s top media partners will lose a lot of money, but a new report reveals that didn’t happen.

A Calciomercato report reveals that only six thousand subscriptions were cancelled, which means that less than half a million euros will be lost for a contract of 840 million euros.

Juve FC says

Serie A doesn’t make that much money in TV revenue and it doesn’t make sense for us to cancel our subscription in protest.

There are better ways to do it because if we cancel, it would also affect our club’s income.

The Bianconeri have insisted that they have done nothing wrong and we must trust them to prove themselves in court and have the 15 point deduction overturned for our place in the league table to improve.
