Man City under investigation, how does it compare to Juventus?

English champions Manchester City are now under serious investigation after the Premier League accused them of breaking more than 100 rules between the 2009-2018 seasons, the BBC has reported.

The consequences of this could be massive, including expulsion, disqualification of owners and even possible criminal charges, this is undoubtedly the biggest scandal the Premier League has ever faced.

Man City beat UEFA when they tried to hold them to account but they managed to escape on a technicality due to some of the charges being time barred, this does not apply this time as nothing is time barred and City cannot appeal to CAS. .

So City are in deep trouble and this, of course, has drawn comparisons with Juventus, who just had 15 points deducted for financial irregularities and were relegated in 2005 after the Calipoli scandal.

The truth is there is very little comparison, if City are found guilty of even 25% of the charges it would still be far worse than what Juve did or are alleged to have done, what City have done is consistently for over a decade, cheat.

Juve never “cheated” to that extent, yes they did do some things wrong and were duly punished, but their offenses were on a much smaller scale and at moments in time, not committed over a period of a decade or more.
