Real Madrid coach rejects chance to join Premier League club as manager

Real Madrid manager and legend Raúl has turned down the chance to join Leeds United to replace Jesse Marsch as manager.

Raúl is currently the coach of the Real Madrid subsidiary. The Spanish striker spent some of the best days of his playing career at Real Madrid, winning six La Ligas and three Champions Leagues.

Since retiring, Raúl has returned to Madrid to manage its reserve team and could one day aspire to manage the club where he will become a legend.

Now, according to AS, Raúl has turned down the chance to manage in the Premier League, with Leeds United making an approach after Marsch was sacked.

Marsch was sacked after a run of poor results despite keeping Leeds in the Premier League last season. The American replaced Marcelo Bielsa as Leeds plummeted towards relegation, but after a significant investment, they haven’t made much progress.

The report claims that Raul is not interested in joining a new club mid-season and with Leeds struggling to reach the bottom of the Premier League, they will need to act fast to appoint a new manager.
