Report: Juventus transfer target Nicolo Zaniolo set to join Galatasaray

Since the days of former sporting director Fabio Paratici, Juventus have been a huge fan of Nicolò Zaniolo. Since the player is a self-proclaimed Bianconeri fan, many believed the Italian was destined to wear the famous black and white stripes.

However, Juve have been unable to reach an agreement with Roma over a transfer last summer. The 23-year-old is currently seeking asylum after burning bridges with his current employers, but sadly for the Old Lady, the club’s dire financial situation prevented him from making any notable investments in January.

Thus, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via TuttoJuve, Zaniolo has agreed to sign for Galatasaray. He would sign a four-year contract for which he would pocket 3 or 4 million euros per season.

The source affirms that now it is up to the two clubs to reach an agreement, while stating that the white smoke could arise in the next few hours. The Giallorossi could receive a transfer of 15 million plus bonuses.

While the winter transfer session has already expired in most European nations, it remains open in Turkey until February 8.

Juve FC says

Unfortunately for Juventus, Zaniolo won’t be the first transfer target we’ll miss this season, and likely won’t be the last, as our ongoing legal and financial woes continue to cripple our market plans.
