Allegri admits Juventus are feeling the deducted points

Juventus manager Max Allegri has admitted that his players now feel the points they lost due to the deduction for the use of capital gains.

The Bianconeri ended their losing streak with a win over Lazio in the Coppa Italia last night.

That victory means that they are now in the semi-final of the competition and have a good chance of winning it.

However, Allegri was able to tell that the deduction is a burden on his men, saying via Il Bianconero:

“The team had a good game, a good response and it wasn’t easy. It’s easy to tell from the outside that we have a lot of targets too, but the 15-point deck makes itself felt. We came from an ugly defeat with Monza, as an attitude I took two avoidable goals. Tonight the team was on the field, they played well in the first half as well as in the second. Without unleashing the speed of Lazio. Good presentation”.

Juve FC says

Point deduction is a major issue and has plagued us for much of the past few weeks, although some of our players have tried to minimize its effect.

No team will lose that many points and it won’t affect them, so it’s important that our players stay focused and continue to work hard so we can finish well even if the deductions aren’t reversed.
