Carragher ‘convinced’ Liverpool have a big summer planned

It wasn’t a January transfer deadline day that saw Liverpool welcome new players to the club, but Jamie Carragher seemed to welcome the lack of panic in signing for the Reds, ahead of a busy summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the ex-Red said: “I’m convinced Liverpool will have a great summer, I’m sure a lot of fans wanted them to have a great January, but I wouldn’t want Liverpool to go back to what they used to be. do when I was playing where you’d be buying players and hoping it would work.”

Jurgen Klopp has always been famous for waiting for the “right” player, whether that means having to wait multiple transfer windows to complete a deal.

However, it also appears that the boss didn’t want to bring in any more players this month, instead waiting until the summer to cover the potential losses of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arthur Melo, James Milner and Bobby Firmino.
