Six current free agents that Liverpool could still sign

Liverpool supporters were expecting some late transfer business on deadline day which never materialised, but there is still the possibility of some incoming business, in the form of free agents being available on the market.

As Sport Witness reports: ‘Isco is a free agent, if anyone is up for it. Max Kruse too. Jesé Rodríguez shared photos of himself training this week. Jurgen Locadia, Eliaquim Mangala, Šime Vrsaljko…’.

With the Premier League squad already complete, the Reds were only able to complete deals for under-21 players or local talent and none of the above fall into that category, making these deals highly unlikely.

The fact that most of the men mentioned above are free agents is that their contracts have been terminated by previous clubs and they haven’t found a new move yet, something that can also raise some red flags, but could be a way in that we could make room for anyone if we really wanted to.

However, what this list shows is that there is a lot of talent available for relatively little fee, or in these cases no money in terms of transfer fee, so we can still strengthen our squad even further this summer.

With the expectation that this summer’s window will see plenty of inbound and outbound deals, and some notable signings included in that, some cheaper alternatives could be used as a plan B or additional transfers to further bolster the squad.
