“No!”: Erik Ten Hag’s emphatic response to Valencia’s request for Facundo Pellistri loan – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag blocked Facundo Pellistri’s loan to Valencia.

This month Pellistri has been linked with a departure from Old Trafford, with several clubs interested in his services.

Along with Flamengo, Valencia and Bologna also bet on the Uruguayan.

Pellistri’s agent, La Silva, said many other clubs in Europe had contacted him to inquire about his client’s availability.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, there is no chance that Pellistri will leave on loan before the window closes on Tuesday.

Romano reports that Ten Hag rejected Valencia’s inquiries for the 21-year-old winger.

“Valencia made a proposal for Facundo Pellistri, Ten Hag said no,” he said.

It seems that Ten Hag now has Pellistri and that the player has broken into his plans.

Against Reading, the attacker came on as a substitute and put in another good performance. Pellistri was also featured in United’s 3-0 Carabao Cup first-leg win against Nottingham Forest.

Ahead of the Reading game, Ten Hag confirmed that Pellistri, like Alejandro Garnacho, will have opportunities to impress.

One player who could go on loan is Anthony Elanga. The Swede has struggled for minutes this season.

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are fans of the United academy graduate, as are PSV Eindhoven, who are in need of a striker after the departures of Cody Gakpo and Noni Madueke.

According to Romano, Elanga has been the subject of up to 10 clubs.

No final decision has been made on the immediate future of Elanga and things will become clear in the next 24-48 hours.

From this it seems clear that Pellistri has moved above Elanga in the pecking order.
