Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez brought two young fans to tears in what was a moving encounter.
A video that has surfaced on social media shows the Argentine stopping his car and signing a United shirt for the two boys.
This took place after United’s 3-1 win against Reading.
The video was posted by the children’s father, who thanked Martínez for his kindness.
After signing the jersey, Martinez takes time to pose for a photo with the two brothers.
Shortly after the United man left, the two young supporters were left with tears of joy and clearly emotional after meeting their idol.
The father wrote via his Twitter: “This is why the players should never forget who pays their salaries and how much football means to the fans.”

Martinez reacted to the tweet with two love heart emojis.
In response to Martinez, the boys’ father responded by saying, “Thank you very much. My children will remember that moment for the rest of their lives.”

The video has gone viral and earned Martinez plaudits from the fan base.
This interaction is just the latest in a long line of interactions Martinez has enjoyed with the Old Trafford faithful who have taken him like a duck to water.
Whenever they have the ball, fans audibly chant his name and the player’s country of origin.
The World Cup winner recently opened his scoring account for United in a 3-2 defeat to the Emirates and immediately ran to the visiting support to celebrate with them.
It’s easy to see why Martinez is now a cult hero at the Theater of Dreams. His steely defence, determination and no-nonsense is something United have lacked for many years.
