Manchester United have a forward target list that includes Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko.
A striker is high on Erik ten Hag’s agenda in the summer transfer window with United hungry for a reliable goalscorer.
The Peoples Person recently broadcast that Kane would be open to a trade from Old Trafford as doubts mount over his long-term future at Tottenham.
However, Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed that the Englishman is interested in signing a new contract with the Lily Whites. Kane still wants to win trophies with Tottenham.
Discussing the Kane saga, Miguel Delaney details that United look up to the 29-year-old, although Erik ten Hag prefers a faster attacker in Victor Osimhen.
A deal for Osimhen could prove difficult to make. In this case, Ten Hag would be open to Kane. The Dutchman would change the style of play to suit Kane’s strengths and build the offense around him.
The united bosses believe the factors could align in their favor with regard to completing a deal for Kane. It is believed that a £80 million deal may be reached.
Delaney adds that at the Theater of Dreams, Kane’s situation is very much compared to that of Robin Van Persie: a seasoned star on an underperforming team with a thirst for winning trophies and competing at the highest level.
Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano told The United Stand that Osimhen is a big possibility for the Red Devils.
Romano was questioned about whether the Nigerian sensation will move to United. He said: “As a possibility, yes, but that’s just an opinion. But there are no negotiations.”
However, Romano confirmed that Osimhen’s dream is to play in the Premier League. “Victor Osimhen’s dream is to play Premier League football. My personal opinion is that Napoli will not accept less than 120-130 million euros for Osimhen.”
Osimhen’s astronomical price tag certainly makes Kane the most desirable and attractive option where many other positions need to be addressed as well.
