How Chelsea can line up with Joao Felix and new signings – Talk Chelsea

Chelsea have already bought a few players on the doorstep this January, with plans for more arrivals after that.

Youngsters Andrey Santos and David Datro Fofana have joined defender Benoit Badiashile and striker Joao Félix, the latter just announced today.

Felix arrives on loan and has gone straight to work in Chelsea training today and is expected to be available for the first team tomorrow when Chelsea make the short trip next door to take on Fulham.

Fofana also made his Chelsea debut at the weekend and looked very clean and tidy on the ball. With that in mind, and the fact that Felix has come in to make an immediate impact, plus our defenders haven’t been looking too good lately, I wonder if Graham Potter will use the next lineup tomorrow and then in future.

Here’s how Potter might line up with some of the new signings:

Chelsea v Fulham Xi

Obviously, once Reece James returns, he’ll be after Cesar Azpilicueta. But until then, this could freshen things up for Chelsea and Potter when they need it most.

And then you’ll have people like Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana, etc. to come back when they come back from injury, but giving some of these new signings, as well as some youngsters so far, a chance will liven things up and give Chelsea something. new.

Felix can run a bit free behind Fofana, who, as I said, looked good when he came on for the weekend. I still think he’s a bit raw and the jury will be out for now while Potter weighs him up, but why not give it a go tomorrow night from the beginning? It’s not like he can do worse than some of the guys in front of him who have been playing lately.

By the way, if I were picking my all-time best team, Lewis Hall would definitely be starting on it, and maybe even Carney Chukwuemeka. But I’m excited to see what some of these new signings can do and if they can make an impact.
