Gian Piero Gasperini has paid tribute to Gianluca Vialli after his recent death from cancer.
The legendary striker played for Juventus and some of the best clubs in Italy before moving to Chelsea, the club he would later manage.
He was on the Italian team’s coaching staff when they won Euro 2020 and only resigned last month to face his battle with cancer.
He lost it and his death has caused a number of people to reveal how amazing he was as a dedicated and human gamer.
Gasperini began his coaching career in Juve’s youth sector and revealed that Vialli was an exemplary player at the club.
He said via Calciomercato:
“I had played with him when he was from Sampdoria and he was in A with Pescara, but I especially remember him at Juventus when he was the youth squad’s coach and followed the first team’s training sessions. An incredible example, not only for classmates.”
Juve FC says
Vialli was an incredible person and there is no one who has a bad word to say about him after his death.
He wanted to win all the best trophies for Juventus when he played for the club and he will want current players to do the same.
Hopefully, Max Allegri’s men will keep winning and finish this season on a high.
