It has gone from bad news to worse for Liverpool as Virgil van Dijk is the latest member of the team to succumb to a potentially long-term injury.

Not signing a midfielder is a risk that Liverpool CANNOT afford
In the same way that all fans, former players and commentators were able to easily identify our glaring weakness in the 2020/21 campaign, it is abundantly clear to all that our midfield department is the source of much of our current struggle.
With the club fundamentally dependent on the money it makes from player sales and general revenue, you can certainly appreciate where Jurgen Klopp is coming from when it comes to our limited transfer pot.
With Bellingham costing one interested party around £130m, it doesn’t look like there’s much leeway left beyond the Cody Gakpo deal.
