Juventus target Mac Allister insists he is happy where he is now

Juventus have been dealt a transfer hit as their World Cup target Alexis Mac Allister insists he is happy in Brighton after his return.

The midfielder was a star in the Argentina team that won the World Cup and even assisted Angel di Maria in the final of the competition.

Several clubs are now looking to get him away from Brighton after his performance and Juve are one of them.

The English club are not a contender for a top 4 spot, which should make them push to leave, but they spoke about their future in a recent interview, insisting they were happy where they were.

He told Sky Sports that he was “focused on Brighton, you know how grateful I am to this club and I’m in no rush to leave.”

Juve FC says

Mac Allister was fantastic at the World Cup, but making our decision based solely on that could backfire because there’s more to football than that.

Mac Allister has the next six months to prove in the Premier League that he can deliver regular first-team action.

If he does well in this second part of the season, we could incorporate him into our squad in the summer.
