Luke Shaw produces masterclass as Manchester United ease past Bournemouth – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United beat Bournemouth 3-0 tonight at Old Trafford.

United got their goals courtesy of Casemiro, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford.

The result has left United still in fourth position, level on points with Newcastle, who have played one more game than the Red Devils.

United finished the game with an incredible 59% of the ball compared to Bournemouth’s 41% possession.

The Red Devils had 18 shots on goal, with six on target. The Cherries, on the other hand, had 7 shots, with just four giving David de Gea pause.

United made 576 passes with an 85% passing accuracy. Gary O’Neil’s men made 396 passes with a 78% success rate.

Many of United’s stars turned up and did their job excellently, but none more so than Luke Shaw, who was brilliant.

Restored to his favored role of left-back after a brief spell at centre-back, Shaw recorded 117 touches of the ball.

The Englishman had an impressive passing accuracy of 87% and successfully completed the ball delivery 83 times to his teammates in the 90 minutes he was on the pitch. Of Shaw’s 83 passes, three were key passes.

Shaw completed five long balls in a remarkable display of his technical skill.

He also made three clearances, while helping his side walk to another clean sheet.

Shaw won three of the running duels he went deep into. The 27-year-old made a successful cross and completed a dribble.

Shaw capped his performance with a super goal. He went on a run before passing the ball to Fernandes. Fernandes found Garnacho who picked out Shaw with a cut before the defender found the back of the net.
