Robertson labels first-half team ‘nowhere near good enough’

Jurgen Klopp made the rare decision to substitute three players at half time against Brentford and one of the men who came forward, Andy Robertson, was highly critical of the team’s performance in the first 45 minutes.

Speaking to the media after the match, the 28-year-old said: “Very disappointing, the first half wasn’t good enough, we never did everything we put in, they won the first and second ball, we gave away cheap plays.” ”.

It’s easy to misrepresent this when the Scotland captain thinks the game should have started, but there are very few people who would think the first half against Thomas Frank’s side was anything less than disastrous.

However, the manager made a great call and the change at left back was almost the key to getting back in the game, in the end, it was a day to forget for everyone.
