There were many calls for Liverpool to make more signings in the January transfer window before our disappointing result against Brentford, but now the cries are getting louder, although they may be falling on deaf ears.

It’s not going to be the news many fans want to hear, as the need for a new midfielder seems to be the collective call of almost the entire fanbase now, but we may not see this happen until the summer.

Hoping that the midfielder we go and sign in the summer window is Jude Bellingham, then perhaps he should realize that spending too much this winter would only detract from a potential amount of money available to the 19-year-old.
However, the potential departures of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arthur Melo and James Milner at the end of the campaign should mean we’ll need more than one player in the summer anyway, so why not try giving a fresh look? option? more time to sleep in the way we play?
Whichever way this goes awry, there will be plenty of disgruntled supporters at the moment and if the results and performances continue as they did in West London then things could get a lot worse before they get better.
