When Erik ten Hag took over as Manchester United’s new manager, he had a lot to figure out when it came to ins and outs.
While the Dutchman navigated the perils of the summer transfer window like an expert, sending players in the right loan move proved to be quite the challenge.
However, there have been quite a few positive loans to speak of, most notably Amad Diallo at Sunderland.
Hannibal has impressed in Birmingham
Another United academy graduate who has quietly impressed so far this season is Hannibal Mejbri, who is currently spending his time at Birmingham City.
The midfielder has amassed 19 appearances for Birmingham so far this campaign, starting each of his last nine contests.
He was also called up by Tunisia for the World Cup in Qatar, where he made a bench appearance for the African team and was memorably involved in an altercation off the pitch during the game against Australia.

The 19-year-old has impressed with his work rate and all-around game, and Birmingham manager John Eustace praised him for the impressive statistics he had amassed.
“The way he’s played in the last two games has been phenomenal,” Eustace said in November.
“He has broken total distance records [covered]All that kind of stuff.” He has also provided three assists during his time at St. Andrew’s.
Marseille wants Hannibal
Now it has been revealed by The Sun, that “Hannibal Mejbri is on the wanted list of the French giants of Marseille”.
The Ligue 1 outfit even “sent one of their best men to check on their progress last week,” the report mentions.
Hannibal joined the Monaco Red Devils in 2019 in a deal that could go up to £10 million.
Ten Hag will have the final say in this matter, but it is unlikely that he will sanction his permanent departure considering the club’s significant outlay and the fact that he never got a proper chance considering his young age.
