Juventus want to get rid of Weston McKennie but are keen to get the right price for his signing, knowing he is still valuable on the market.
The American is not indispensable to Max Allegri and has not shown enough to suggest he could be one of the best players at the club.
Juve have several midfielders on the way and targets who could perform better with Allegri, which they will move for.
McKennie must go before a new man walks in, but are they asking too much to let the American leave Turin?
A Calciomercato report reveals that they want around 40 million euros to get rid of him, an amount that could be too much for a player who has not been very good for them since he arrived.
Juve FC says
McKennie is a good midfielder, but he’s not spectacular and shouldn’t cost a lot of money if we’re serious about letting him go.
No club will offer €40m for a player who is yet to be proven at the highest level, so we need to be prepared to earn around half that amount to get rid of him.
If we insist on that fee, he could be stuck with our team for a long time, preventing us from bringing other players to the club.
