Juventus defender Rugani must lower his salary to leave the club

Daniele Rugani is arguably one of Juventus’ poorest performing defenders and the Bianconeri will be happy if he lets them.

They’ve had it on their books for several years and handed him a long-term contract in 2019 to avoid interest in his signing.

The defender has a contract until 2024 and continues to regress after struggling on loan at Rennes and Cagliari.

The bianconeri must now keep him until his contract expires because there is hardly a club willing to buy him.

A report on Calciomercato reveals that the main reason it is so difficult to move him is that he makes a lot of money and only a few clubs can pay him that much and none of them think he is good enough.

Juve FC says

One problem for big clubs when they want to sell a flop is that they mostly make a lot of money that average clubs can’t afford.

Rugani showed in Cagliari and Rennes that he is now an average or below average defender who is simply not good enough for Juve.

But we have to put up with seeing it every day until the summer of 2024, which is sad for everyone involved.

We might offer to pay part of your salary if you agree to leave and join a new club.
