Martin Odegaard extended Arsenal’s lead with an interesting finish, coupled with Bukayo Saka’s early goal.
Saka took the lead for Arsenal after just over a minute, guiding the ball past Robert Sánchez.
Later in the first half, Odegaard extended Arsenal’s lead. The Norwegian attacking midfielder smashed the ball into the ground, causing the ball to bounce over the defender’s heads and into the back of the net.
It wouldn’t be a total surprise to find out that Odegaard intended to hit the ball in this way to avoid defenders, similar to Mesut Ozil’s ‘rebound’ ending where he kicks the ball to the ground over the goalkeeper.
Great goal from the magical captain of Arsenal, Martin Odegaard! ?
