Luke Shaw praised his teammate Raphael Varane for helping him cope with his change in position as central defender in today’s win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Manchester United took all three points in a close duel at the Molineux.

Substitute Marcus Rashford came off the bench to score the winner, much to the delight of Erik ten Hag.

United were solid in defence, and both center backs Shaw and Varane played very well.

In his post-match interview, Shaw said:

“It helps when you have someone like Varane by your side. He spoke to me a lot, not only in the game but also before.”

Asked about the manager’s decision behind benching Rashford, he replied: “People can’t do what they want, maybe that’s been the problem in the past – people get away with it. yours with silly little things, but the manager takes it into consideration. ”

“You saw today that if you don’t keep your standards high, you won’t play.”

“When you have someone like Marcus Rashford coming on in the second half, you know a goal is coming.”

Shaw has secured his first-team position after another flawless performance.

When Lisandro Martínez returns, the Englishman is expected to move to his original position at left-back.
