Eagles Coach Refuses To Name Starting QB For Sunday’s Crucial Match

Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni declined to name a starting quarterback for the Eagles’ crucial game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday amid Jalen Hurts’ injury status.

The MVP contender missed last week’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys after spraining his right (throwing) shoulder in their win over the Chicago Bears on Dec. 18.

Hurts returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis, but Sirianni said he still hasn’t seen enough to name the 24-year-old Pro Bowler the start for Linc Sunday against the Saints.

“We are still figuring that out,” Sirianni said. “Jalen had a good practice (Thursday) and did some things very well. I’m still going to order all those things. I haven’t decided anything yet. I still have a couple of days.

“I think you can take it until game day. He is still healing. He is still going through these things. In two days he will be healthier than today ”.

The Eagles start Sunday at 1 pm against the Saints.
