According to Salzburger Nachrichten, Maximilian Wober has completed the medical process required by Leeds United before signing a contract at Elland Road.
Jesse Marsch considers the 24-year-old defender a “dream” acquisition, and Wober is reportedly looking forward to a new challenge away from RB Salzburg.
Salzburger Nachrichten say the two clubs have yet to agree on a fee, which is expected to exceed £13.3m.
Patrick Bamford’s performance in the 2022-23 season has left a lot to be desired, so Marsch will also put a striker high on his wish list. Although Rodrigo has excelled so far, Leeds cannot rely solely on the Spaniard to meet their goalscoring requirements for the remainder of the season.
