Manchester United’s plans for Cody Gakpo came crashing down suddenly as Liverpool swooped down once again for their man.
The Dutch international is now said to have ‘arrived in England’, according to Sky Sports sources (as broadcast on their channel @SkySportsNews), ahead of an expected medical with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
The Merseysiders were understood to be tracking the player ahead of a potential summer move, although Empire of the Kop understands the plans came amid strong interest from our Premier League rivals.
